Murder on the Chessboard

I’m developing a puzzle game that fuses Chess with Murder Mysteries.

  1. The royal court meets at Chess Manor

2. Suddenly, the lights go out. The sounds give you hints where pieces move to.

3. The king is murdered!

Your goal: find out who murdered King Karl.

Meet the suspects

Bishop Balthasar

He was always there when Karl needed solace and guidance. Could this peaceful man be a secret murderer?

Sir Kevin McKnight

The royal stablemaster does a splendid job in tending to the royal steeds. His friends call him “Horsey”. Can this friendly-looking fella really be guilty?

Reginald Rook

Karl’s drinking buddy from a young age. Notorious for his stubbornness and feared for his temper. But could he murder his friend and liege in cold blood?

Lady Queendressa

People have always speculated that she is the most powerful person at court – she always seems multiple steps ahead of the others. Could it really be Karl’s own wife that plunged the knife into his heart?

You can try the prototype right now!

There is an in-game tutorial that lets you jump right into puzzle solving.
